Habitat International Film Festival 2018 (23rd Mar -1st Apr)

The second edition of Habitat International Film Festival 2018 is back with around 70 cinemas from across the world. It starts on 23rd March in New Delhi and it will continue till 1st April 2018. The first day of the festival opens with the film “A Man of Integrity” by Iranian director Mohammad Rasoulof. And the festival will end with Ruben Ostlund’s satirical drama “The Square” on April 1.

Moreover, movie lovers can watch other movies like France, Japan, Hungary, Thailand, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan, and Iran etc. including the Festival de Cannes, Toronto International Film Festival, and Sundance Film Festival.

The name of some films are “The Insult” (Lebanon), “On Body and Soul” (Hungary), “The Tokyo Sky is Always the Densest Shade of Blue” (Japan), “The Zookeeper’s Wife” (Poland), “Loveless” (Germany), “No Date No Signature” (Iran), “Loving” (USA), “Fences” (USA).

HIFF will pay tribute to Swedish Director Ingmar Bergman on his 100th birth centenary. Moreover, the festival will pay tribute German Filmmaker Christian Schwochow through screening his films such as “Paula”, “In the Middle”, “West”, “Cracks in the Shell” and “Bornholmer StraBe”.

Apart from feature films, features, shorts, and documentaries will also be screened.

Venue: Gulmohar Hall and The Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre (IHC), Lodhi Road.

Timing: 23rd March : 6:30 pm onwards, 24th March to 1st April : 11:00 am onwards.

What Is Habitat International Film Festival (HIFF)

India Habitat Centre (www.indiahabitat.org) organizes the Habitat International Film Festival (HIFF) 2018 with a 10-day celebration of the art of cinema in Delhi. India Habitat Centre is one of the milestone cultural hubs which screens cinema from India and around the world every month for its members. The club has been working as an active platform for the promotion of cinema since 2000.
